OUR FOUNDER RANDY BOYD
Weekly Video Message From Randy
Welcome everyone and thanks for visiting. I am hopeful that you might find some of the answers you have been looking for about yourself, who you are and why you might be feeling "Less Than" as a man or young boy; women or young girl? Is your self esteem in question? Do you have low or no self esteem? Do have over whelming feelings of shame arising from no where and for no apparent reason? Do you have a hard time engaging in a general conversation with people at a social gathering because you have no self worth, you feel your opinions and words are empty and meaningless? Do you have a hard time interacting with other men and women or for boys and girls with other boys and girls? These are just a few of the signs I know of that can put a red flag up for some form of abuse. While our main focus is on sexual abuse, emotional, spiritual, physical and verbal abuse can be equally damaging to the human Psyche. And if you are like me and have experienced a combination of all of these abuse issues, it is devastating. It is important to know that I am not a licensed professional and I do not have a PHD as of yet. I am however a Licensed Drug and Alcohol counselor, a Certified Trauma Informed Transformational Life Coach and I have an AA in Psychology. Most importantly I do have a PH-DO in life . So when I speak, I am speaking from what I have learned about myself in talking with Professional therapist over the years as well as working and talking with men that have suffered from the abuse at the hands of someone they were taught to trust, rather the perpetrator was a male or female does not matter, it's all abuse.

I just finished reading your book Healing the Man Within, and I thought: But you are a firefighter, helping people put out the infernal internal fire of trauma.
Thank you for sharing the hope!
Randy’s journey from a wounded child to a Courageous Healer is remarkable. He has gently opened the door to allow the tabu subject of male sexual and emotional abuse to be discussed, understood, and recover from. This is a must read for any clinician assisting individuals in their recovery from abuse., guilt and shame.

This Devotional helped me to think a lot about where I'm at and where I want to be. With other devotionals I have come across they give you a reading and that's it. With this devotional Randy asks questions that help you to probe farther into where you are at, and to dig deep into yourself. As I started doing this I was realizing things I didn't even know about myself. This devotional is for anyone looking to seek an understanding into who they really are.
Who We Are Mission Statement
Courageous Healers Foundation is a collaborative of
resources helping men, women and their families heal from
the scars of sexual abuse.
The Courageous Healers Foundation primary goal is to help our clients achieve long term recovery of all that they have lost, primarily the happy love filled life they deserve to have. Recovery is a marathon not a sprint, thus we offer no quick fixes. We believe there is no one size fits all treatment plan for all clients. Courageous Healers Foundation philosophy is to tailor a treatment plan to each individual client’s particular needs. Our goal is to help our clients recover it all; health and wellness, live self-directed lives, and strive to reach their full potential. We believe that in order for our clients to fully recover and reach their full potential, therapy by itself is not enough. During Phase 1 we incorporate individual therapy to help root out and heal the inner wounds of our clients, along with group therapy and family counseling. In Phase 2 we begin Life Coaching sessions to help our clients learn how to integrate back into the flow of life and live life on life’s terms. During Phase 2 we also incorporate Health and Wellness Coaching to help our clients learn how to live a healthier life.
We utilize several different treatment modalities to promote deeper healing and growth. These modalities include but are not limited to EMDR, DBT, CBT and other experiential approaches. Whether our clients our dealing with addiction or not, we also utilize the 12 Step System of recovery. Our belief is that everyone can greatly benefit by working completing the 12 Step system.
Raise awareness and promote the solution for sexually abused men & women. We want men and women to have a chance at living an authentic life, one where they learn to love themselves. One where they learn that it is okay and acceptable to acknowledge the damage done to them and know that it is safe for a them to talk about their feelings, and most importantly to let them know they are not alone.
Vision Statement Our Strategy
Provide a facility where men, women and their families
can come to begin their healing journey from the devastating
effects of childhood abuse, primarily sexual abuse, providing
both individual and group therapy. Provide a forum for both
the student of mental health and the practicing therapist to
further their knowledge of the effects of child abuse, primarily
sexual and including physical, emotional/mental and spiritual,
on the male victim.
